This city always reminds me of the famous Durga puja during Dassera. It was totally unplanned and last minute trip that happened this year, 2024.. all thanks to F5escapes
Visited Victoria memorial, Dakshineshwar Kali, Ganga ghat, flower market, Rajbari Bawali, Bonedi bari, Pandal hopping during day and night, Night cruise. The experience of pandal hopping during night was something different. The vibes with music, lights, traffic (that was controlled in proper way). We can see people everywhere till early morning hopping pandals, seeing different decorations of Maa Durga. The best part was Sindoor khel. Apart from these, the traditional food that we had in one of the local home was delicious.
The city, which was our first capital, maintains the same vibes. Not to forget those yellow ambassdor cabs. Not to miss the roadside chai, chaats, puchkas and of course shopping.
